What is Mag T?

Magnesium L-threonate (MgT for short) is a patented compound developed by MIT scientists in 2010 that has been shown to improve working memory, short- and long-term memory, and learning in animal studies.

The first animal study using MgT, published in the journal Neuron in 2010, noted that MgT is rapidly absorbed into the brain by increasing the "number of functional presynaptic release sites while reducing the probability of their release", Structurally reversed specific aspects of brain aging.

Magnesium has long been recognized as an essential mineral that affects more than 300 important physiological functions, such as contracting muscles, maintaining a heartbeat, producing energy, and activating nerves to send and receive messages.

When choosing a magnesium supplement, be aware that there are many different forms on the market. Also, one of the ways to get magnesium is to take regular Epsom salt baths or soak your feet in Epsom salts. This form of magnesium is magnesium sulfate, which can be absorbed into the skin, thereby increasing magnesium levels in the body.

Essentially, since a person can only have one brain in a lifetime, scientists believe that MgT supplementation seems absolutely necessary for anyone who wants to maintain brain function, or even restore some lost function.
