Application of Fisetin

Fisetin, also known as flavonol or flavonoids, is widely found in many plants in nature, such as onions, apples, tea leaves, etc. It is a powerful natural antioxidant with multiple biological effects such as anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, blood pressure lowering, and blood lipid lowering.

1. Improving Effects of Fisetin on Cardiovascular Health.

(1) Many studies have shown that fisetin can lower blood pressure and reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular events. It dilates blood vessels and lowers blood pressure by inhibiting the activity of angiotensin converting enzyme and reducing the production of angiotensin II.

(2) Fisetin can reduce total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglyceride levels in the blood, while increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels

(3) As a powerful natural antioxidant, Fisetin can remove free radicals in the body and reduce the damage of oxidative stress to the cardiovascular system.

At the same time, it also has anti-inflammatory effects, which can reduce the inflammatory response of the blood vessel wall and protect the endothelial cells from damage.

2. Mechanism of Fisetin in Improving Skin Dullness.

(1) Antioxidant effect: Fisetin can remove free radicals, reduce oxidative stress, and protect skin cells from damage. At the same time, it can also promote the metabolism of skin cells, accelerate the shedding of aging cells, and restore the skin to a smooth and delicate state.

(2) Anti-inflammatory effect: Fisetin can inhibit inflammatory response and reduce the release of inflammatory mediators, thereby alleviating skin inflammation. This has a significant effect on improving the dull yellowing of the skin caused by inflammation.

(3) Inhibit melanin formation: Fisetin can inhibit the activity of tyrosinase and reduce the synthesis of melanin, thereby reducing skin pigmentation and making the skin tone more even and bright.

3. Fisetin protects against free radical damage to cells。

(1) Scavenging free radicals: The phenolic hydroxyl groups in the fisetin molecule can react with free radicals and reduce them to stable compounds, thereby eliminating the oxidizing properties of free radicals.

(2) Inhibit the activity of oxidases: Fisetin can inhibit the activity of some oxidases that can produce free radicals and reduce the production of free radicals.

(3) Repairing damaged DNA: Fisetin can also repair DNA attacked by free radicals and reduce the risk of gene mutation.
