Citronella oil also called vanilla oil or male karukaya oil, distilled by steam from the whole grass of citronella. It's Light yellow liquid. There is a strong aroma of mountain pepper. Citronellal, citronellol and geraniol are the main components of citronella oil. It is used to extract citronellal, which is used to synthesize hydroxyl citronellal, geraniol and menthol.
